Teamwork with children
Practical life skills are great learning moments for children. Whether you're showing them how to put dishes on the shelf or pulling laundry out of the dryer together, you're teaching them to take care of themselves and their surroundings.
Self-care tasks such as toileting, hand washing, and dressing extend the lesson opportunities for toddlers and preschoolers. Be sure that as you engage your child in these activities and give them more and more responsibility, they will learn something valuable.
It is worth creating conditions so that the child can easily reach the sink or kitchen countertops. Our Yoko helper tower or step stand can easily help you with this - it will help your child to be safe at height.
Give your child the opportunity to join in. Let it be a game for them - wash vegetables, fruits, pour water from a pot and splash in the kitchen sink.
There are many benefits to involving your child in everyday activities. It allows them to:
- Understand that chores are part of everyday life.
- Feel useful
- Assign small tasks, thereby teaching your child responsibility and independence.
- Spend more time together
Don't forget, the Yoko Assistant Tower can be used in a variety of places from brushing teeth to watering flowers to chopping vegetables. Children are a reflection of their parents, and setting the right example and love are elements of personality formation.
